Mission
To raise and distribute funds for the benefit of Half Moon Bay High School students and programs.
PAC funds are raised primarily through parent and community donations and Escrip. Funds are generally distributed in the following ways:
Faculty Requests - At any time during the school year, HMBHS faculty may request funds from PAC to cover costs for department expenses or programs for students. These traditionally include academics, the arts, sports and other enrichment opportunities that directly impact the students and the faculty.
Grant Writing - recognizing the need to secure outside funds from the larger Corporate and Foundation community for new programs, PAC now employs a professional grant-writer.
Ceremonies - PAC sponsors a variety of ceremonies including the Annual Scholarship Awards Night, Teacher Appreciation luncheons, Department Awards, and Graduation reception.
Sports Organizations - PAC funds requests for Substitute teacher fees, travel, "In-Service" training for coaches and for athletic staff, and tournament fees.
Students and Administration - PAC funds specific projects which focus on campus improvement including signage, public address systems, and upgrades to existing facilities.
PAC is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
PAC, Inc. Board of Directors
PAC is managed by an all volunteer board of directors.
Elections for next school year's board will be held in June 2009.
